The name of the fragrance created as part of the '2nd FUTURE PERFUMER PROJECT' has been decided as 'SHINING MYSELF'. It will be available as a limited-edition fragrance at 'Blender Lab' in Japan and South Korea.

The '2nd FUTURE PERFUMER PROJECT' was held in Tokyo and Sunagawa City, Hokkaido, in 2026. The name of the fragrance created by Yuzuki Kawahara, who took part in this project, has been decided as 'SHINING MYSELF'.

The name was chosen by Yuri Yasui, who entered our 'FRAGRANCE NAMING PROJECT' held this past April.

The name 'SHINING MYSELF' embodies the hope that those who encounter this fragrance will find the courage to take a new step forward and discover the joy of connecting with their true selves.

'The fresh fruity, floral and woody notes unfold freely, without holding back. The way the fragrance unfolds seems to mirror the journey of someone stepping into a world they’ve never known before, growing little by little as they accumulate various experiences. It is a fragrance that conjures up the image of someone realising their true self along that path and beginning to live a life that is truly their own.'

Yuri, who penned these words, once took on a dream job in an unfamiliar place following a chance encounter. As she gained various experiences there and gradually built her confidence, she found that, before she knew it, she had become her 'true self'—able to express her feelings directly.

Coming from this background, she recalls that when she first encountered this fragrance, "I felt as though Yuzuki — who took on the challenge of creating this fragrance — and I overlapped in some way."

Both Yuzuki and Yuri took on the challenge of moving forward. The meeting of their sensibilities has given birth to a truly unique fragrance that expresses 'shining as your true self'. We hope that this fragrance will weave new stories together with the many people who choose to experience it.

'SHINING MYSELF' will be available in stages at the 'Blender Lab' at in MINNANO-SUNAGAWA FACTORY and the 'Herb Blender Lab' at SHIRO Seongsu in South Korea. The scheduled dates for its addition to the 'Blender Lab' at both locations are as follows.

The 'FUTURE PERFUMER PROJECT' was launched with the hope that, whilst learning about SHIRO’s cherished philosophy of craftsmanship, participants would discover new dreams through the experience of creating their own fragrances. Furthermore, with the aim of enriching the world of fragrance by bringing together the sensibilities and words of many people, this led to the launch of the 'FRAGRANCE NAMING PROJECT'.
