A deeply moisturising, two-phase face mist combining distilled water extracted from green yuzu peel with 1.5 times more essential oil than YUZU OIL IN WATER, along with fruit juice and seed extract. The moment you spray it, the fresh, tartly vibrant scent unique to green yuzu unfolds pleasantly around you. The fine mist hydrates the skin and, with continued use, helps bring it to a smooth, healthy-looking condition. It replenishes both oil and moisture in a well-balanced way, so use it generously wherever dryness is a concern — on the face, of course, but also on hair and body. Its light, refreshing texture also makes it ideal for reviving the skin during warm, humid weather when stickiness tends to set in.
STORY
Development of GREEN YUZU RICH OIL IN WATER began when strong demand for the Yuzu Series led to a shortage of yuzu, prompting us to explore new ingredients. In the course of that search, Ogon no Mura — the growers behind kito yuzu — came to us with a question: could we find a use for the green yuzu that had been thinned from the trees?
Yuzu is typically harvested once the fruit has turned yellow, but young trees can be weakened if they bear too much fruit. Thinning is carried out to ease the strain on the tree. The small, still-green fruits have delicate, easily damaged peel, and sorting and harvesting them takes considerable care — meaning only a very small amount ever reaches the market. Most thinned green yuzu had, until now, simply had nowhere to go. The desire to give these fruits a new purpose and bring them to life as a product is what set the development of GREEN YUZU RICH OIL IN WATER in motion.
What makes green yuzu so special is the protective strength it has built up in preparation for becoming a yellow yuzu — and the lively, fresh, tartly nuanced scent that only a young fruit can offer. To let you enjoy every quality green yuzu has to give, we used every part of the ingredient and repeatedly revisited the essential oil content, carefully refining the balance between scent diffusion and how it settles on the skin, until we arrived at the final formula.
